Our antivirals are designed using synthetic biology tools which allow us to computationally tailor a specific biological solution to an infectious disease. A virus evolves to take advantage of a "security-breach" or a "back-door" by which it can enter the cell and hijack the machinery to make more of itself.
Our philosophy is similar. We design our solutions to take advantage of the virus' Achilles heel. The elements on the virus structure and within its genome that are extremely unlikely to evolve. By targeting these elements with a designed biological solution, we are then able to produce therapeutics which are effective against any variant.
